Nescafe Ice ~ Deep Chill Sensation ~ New

.
2010Jan05, Tuesday ~ There are 2 people I'm thinking of when I saw this Ad (You know who you are). Anyway, it says in the 8Days Magazine & the TODAY Newspaper that it's "Exclusively At 7-Eleven".

2010Jan09, Saturday ~ Since 2010Jan05Dec31, Tuesday --- we tried to get this New Drink from 3 different 7-Eleven stores BUT to no avail. What's Happening?

2010Jan10, Sunday ~ Found this at the 4th 7-Eleven store we visited. The taste was a big dissapointment to 3 of us who tasted this. Personally, to me, it tasted like SOME Bad-kopitiam-coffee. Don't get me wrong, I'm a lover of Good-kopitiam-coffee. It had a slight mint taste probably to get the "Deep Chill" effect --- very creative but it didn't work for me. I don't mean to be crude and it's only a matter of opinion... and mine is... "nice picture... lousy taste".

Here're pictures of what was published on these dates...

Book ~ Shrimp People ~ by Rex Shelley

.
I got this gift for Christmas 2009.

Shrimp People or 'Gragok' (a Malay slang for Udang Gragau) refers to Eurasians of Portuguese Descent in Singapore & Malacca.

This book is the first in a series of 4 novels:
~ The Shrimp People
~ People of the Pear Tree
~ Island in the Centre
~ River of Roses

Here's a picture of Rex Shelley with these 4 books of his.

Watch & Vacuum Cleaner (Christmas 2009)

.
Got this watch for Christmas 2009.

At any one time, I only have one watch and it's a Casio. I like the green-back-light that does not hurt your eyes when checking the time in the middle of the night.

When mine spoiled a few months ago, I tried to go without a watch and relied on my handphone to tell me the time. Well, someone noticed I didn't have a watch, and bought me one that looked like it, except that it wasn't Casio.

Although it wasn't a Casio, it ranks very highly as one of the best presents I've had throughout my life.

On top of that, it came with a Vacuum Cleaner (Novelty Table Stationery) that sucks up eraser-rubs. It'll be very useful when I use pencil to do my Music-Arrangement or Drawing-Sketch-Work.

While looking for a picture of this watch (Pix 1, above), I found this very interesting clock (Pix 2, below). It views local time in 24 global times zones with this innovative clock from Charlotte van der Waals. Roll the clock so the time zone you need is on top - the perfect gift for the frequent flyer or traveler.

The design is so simple and yet so creative. Notice that it does not have the minute-hand and uses only the hour-hand & the second-hand, so it will take some getting use to.

If you want this innovative clock from Charlotte van der Waals, you can find it at This Link.
