Blog ~ God So Loved The World ~ Acappella ~ Lyrics ~ 1) Farmington Mennonite Fellowship ~ 2) Polyphonia Khoros

I love this song.

===.
When can this be sung?

Many occasions to sing this... Lent, Easter, Christmas... in fact... anytime.

My Christian-but-not-Catholic friend once told me that the first bible quotation they learn is John 3:16 which goes...

"For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
~ John 3:16 ~ King James Version (KJV)

I don't know many bible quotations but I remembered this one.
I, personally, would like to sing it just before or better, after mass as a prayer.

God So Loved The World ~ John Stainer (Lyrics)

God so loved the world, God so loved the world.
That He gave His only begotten Son
That who so believeth, believeth in Him
Should not perish, Should not perish,
But have... Everlasting life.

For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world
For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world
But that the world through Him might be saved

God so loved the world, God so loved the world.
That He gave His only begotten Son
That Who so believeth, believeth in Him
Should not perish, Should not perish,
But have... Everlasting life.

Everlasting life.
Everlasting, Everlasting life,
God so loved the world,
God so loved the world,
God so loved the world.

God So Loved the World - wonderful a Capella music

The song , "God So Loved the World" sung a Capella by the members of the Farmington Mennonite Fellowship in March of 2009. We were able to go and visit the families there back in 2009 and it was wonderful to sing with them. This is the best sound recording I have. From John 3:16

We hope you enjoy this song as much as we do.

Candle ~ A Lighted Candle ~ Light A Candle

Very nice. It looks alive and animated... but it's not... it's a still picture.
