Easter Joy ~ Entrance Antiphon ~ 2nd Sunday of Easter (Cycle A)

This is today's Entrance Antiphon...

~~~.
THE SEASON OF EASTER
SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER
.
Our Easter Joy
.
Today as we hail Christ as our Lord and God we are filled with the jy of the disciple in seeing the risen Lord. In this season of renewal we are like those early Christians who were 'filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described.'
.
Entrance Antiphon:
.
Like newborn children you should thirst for milk, on which your spirit can grow to strength, alleluia.
.
or
.
Rejoice to the full in the glory that is yours, and give thanks to God who called you to his kingdom, alleluia.
... and my first time trying to write a tune for an Antiphon. I even liked the open lines that ended up writing a whole song using the opening lines.
Easter Jelly Bean Prayer
Prayer for children
http://www.prayer-and-prayers.info/prayers-for-children/index.htm
.
Jelly Bean Prayer
Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made,
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins that were made
White is for the grace He gave,
Purple is for the hour of sorrow,
Pink is for the new tomorrow.
Give a bag full of jelly beans,
Colorful and sweet,
Tell them it's a Prayer...
It's a promise...
It's an Easter Treat!
.
Happy Easter!
Hallelujah! Christ Is Risen!
This was the winning song in Eurovision Song Contest 1979. For those who do not know this Eurovision Song Contest... it was as big (if not bigger) than today's American Idol or Britain's Got Talent. Go ahead and try singing the lyrics provided below along with the Video to celebrate Easter. Happy Easter everyone!
