Answer = 20

Let...
Apple = A
Grapes = G
Banana = B

===. 1st Line
A = 7 (Note that 7 is not the amount of Apples but the unit of value given to the Apples. You can think of all the units as dollars.)

===. 2nd Line
G = 5 + A
G = 5 + 7
G = 12 (Note that 12 is the unit of value given to the Grapes. Notice that there are also 12 Grapes. If 12 Grapes = 12 units, then each Grape = 1 unit, or 1 dollar.)

===. 3rd Line
A = 1 + B
7 = 1 + B
7 - 1 = B
B = 7 - 1
B = 6 ((Note that 6 is the unit of value given to the Bananas. Notice that there are 3 Bananas. If 3 bananas = to 6 units, then each Banana = 2 units, or 2 dollars.)

===. 4th Line

7 units of Apples, plus
11 units of Grapes, plus
2 units of Bananas, equals to?

OR

$7 of Apples, plus
$11 of Grapes, plus
$2 of Bananas, equals to?

7 + 11 + 2 = 20
