Samoa (a Pacific island nation) has done something no country has tried in current times. On 7 Sep 2009, Monday morning, drivers in Samoa steered their cars to the left-hand side of roads, instead of the right-hand side they were formerly driving on. Vehicles which are right-hand driven will be more suited to driving on the left-hand side of roads. There's definitely going to be some teething problems. The government has reasoned the change to be economically beneficial, but critics say it will lead to a huge traffic mess.
I believe that in time to come, they'll get used to it.
