Just came across this Hokkien phrase which I happen to understand.
Kiasu = Scared Lose
Kiasi = Scared Die
Kialaukwee = Scared Lose Face
I have problems pronouncing this so this is a reminder using the mandarin 4 tones and a more appropriate spelling to help in the pronouncing of this word.
