Parking Violation
Just last week, I parked next to a car on my left and he was parked very close to the right line. I thought to myself, so silly, how is he going to get into his car if I parked close to him. So I proceeded to park close to that line on my left, as close as he parked to the right, we were both in our lots with only the line separating us. I walked a quite a distance away and saw the driver approaching the car. He took one look, shook his head, and proceeded to get in on the left side of his car. I think my jaw dropped, I which I could do that.
===.
I think it is OK to park close to the left line, in fact,
I do that often because I am big and not flexible to
be able to come in or out of the car via the left door,
BUT... this is going... "way over the line" -- literally.

In the images of her
that overlap on the street
I can’t find any
signs of longing
In the images of her
that sway on the street
I can’t find any
signs of loneliness
Love, at first, was so easily
believed to last forever
That’s what I believed,
that’s what I believed
If love ever
comes to me again
Then I won’t get too close
but then I won’t be too far
In the image her
of sitting on a bench
I can’t find any
signs of longing
In her laughter that
I hear from the bench
I can’t find any
signs of loneliness
Love, at first, was so easily
believed to last forever
That’s what I believed,
that’s what I believed
If love ever
comes to me again
Then I won’t get too close
but then I won’t be too far
My head hurts but you’re not here
Then thoughts of you rise up again
I can’t help my heart,
that one night
To me, love is, to me, love is
Love, at first, was so easily
believed to last forever
That’s what I believed,
that’s what I believed
If love ever

Couples Must Talk ~ by Christopher Lee
Here are some tips on being a good husband like Christopher Lee.
===.
"Chris told me that a couple
must talk to each other daily,
even if it means talking about
very mundane day-to-day stuff.
A relationship is not just about
one person. Both parties must
listen and communicate."

By: Jocelyn Lee
http://www.tnp.sg/content/taiwan-sex-goddess-im-smitten-christopher-leeSexy Taiwanese actress Tian Xin (above), 38, thinks local actor Christopher Lee is the perfect man.
In a phone interview from Taiwan with local media, Tian - who is currently single - gushed: "I was so smitten with him. He is very charming, very mature, and very caring on set. In short, he is the perfect man."
The duo play a couple in Taiwanese drama A Good Wife, which airs on E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) every Tuesday to Thursday at 10pm.
Seeing Lee make time daily to call his wife Fann Wong after filming stirred a little jealousy in Tian, who is nicknamed Taiwan's first sexy love goddess.
She said: "I can only watch and sigh in envy. I wish I have a boyfriend like him."
When asked if Wong thinks as highly of him as Tian, Lee replied confidently: "Well, if Fann doesn't have such a good impression of me, she wouldn't have married me."

Taiwan actress Tian Xin smitten by Christopher Lee
She is 38, sexy, and thinks that local actor Christopher Lee is the perfect man.
It is something you might expect Taiwanese actress Tian Xin to say of her co-star Lee, 42, who acts as her loving husband in their new drama, A Good Wife.
But her enthusiasm was infectious.
In a phone interview from Taiwan, Tian - who is single - gushed about Lee endlessly, saying in Mandarin: "I was so smitten with him. He is very charming, very mature and very caring on set. In short, he is the perfect man."
Referring to him affectionately as "Ah Shun Zai", a play on his Chinese name Lee Meng Soon, she added: "His acting is very good, and he makes me feel comfortable around him. I think every woman would fall for him after knowing him."
In A Good Wife, Tian acts as dutiful and meticulous wife Yi Zhen, who has been in a loving marriage with hubby Lee Shao Wen (Lee) for seven years. The monotonous relationship takes its toll and Yi Zhen leaves Shao Wen for another man.
The show is airing on E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) every Tuesday to Thursday at 10pm.
When The New Paper contacted Lee on Monday, he was pleasantly surprised with Tian's praises.
"I am very honoured and happy to hear this. We spent quite a lot of time working together in the drama, and we had a great time," he said.
"We have similar working styles and we are both quite straightforward, so we click. The atmosphere on set was very fun and lively."
As much as Tian is charmed by Lee, she said she would not make any moves on the married MediaCorp Ah Ge (Mandarin for big brother).
She said: "I will never go for someone who is already taken, it's wrong."
The affable actress recalled how Lee made efforts to communicate daily with his wife, local actress Fann Wong, 42, who remained here while he was filming the drama in Taiwan.
"Chris would talk to Fann via Skype on the way back to the hotel after filming, and he would finish their chats in the hotel lobby before going up to his room, as he did not want the signal to be cut off when he is taking the lift. It's a small thing but it's so sweet," Tian said.
"I can only watch and sigh in envy. I wish I have a boyfriend like him."
Tian, famous for her award-winning role as a top plastic surgeon in idol drama Who's The One (2011), also learnt a lot about relationships and love from Lee after working together.
He told her the key to a successful marriage is proper communication, she said.
• Couples Must Talk
She said: "Chris told me that a couple must talk to each other daily, even if it means talking about very mundane day-to-day stuff. A relationship is not just about one person. Both parties must listen and communicate."
Tian, who had previously been linked to Taiwanese actor Leroy Young, 33, reportedly broke up with him in July after a three-year relationship as she did not want to settle down. "For me, there is no pressure to get married. Of course, I want to have a lifelong partner, I am sure everyone does," she said.
"However, we cannot rush such things. I will get married only when I find the right one for me."
Asked if she will follow the footsteps of Taiwan-based actress Charlie Young, 39, and Taiwanese star Vivian Hsu, 38, who are both seeing Singaporean men, Tian exclaimed: "Oh! They are so lucky! I love Singapore and I want to go to Singapore more often. It's too bad that no Singaporean man is chasing me now."
• Kissing Tian Xin was awkward: Lee
To Christopher Lee, his sexy Taiwanese co-star Tian Xin is like a little boy in real life.
"She is a straightforward and loud person and she likes to joke around on set.
"If she doesn't like something, she will voice it out directly," he told The New Paper over the phone on Monday.
"I think that is why acting with her was very comfortable. As our age gap isn't too big, we could talk about a lot of things. If there is another chance, I would love to work with her again."
However, Lee did feel slightly uncomfortable when it came to filming the passionate kissing scene with Tian.
"This is our first time working together, so it is natural that there will be some awkward moments when we filmed that scene. We did our best to keep it to a few takes."
Lee did not tell his wife, Fann Wong, about the scene because he felt that there was no need.
He said: "We are both actors, she will understand that it's for work. She won't feel jealous or unhappy because we trust each other."
"If Fann lets such small stuff get to her, then won't she feel very miserable?"
• Didn't meet Fann
Lee said that Tian pestered him to introduce Fann to her, but there was no opportunity to do so.
So, does Lee feel that his wife thinks as highly of him as Tian? He replied confidently: "Well, if Fann doesn't have such a good impression of me, she wouldn't have married me."

Aid must reach Philippine typhoon victims faster: UN
POSTED: 14 Nov 2013 14:41
The United Nations admitted on Thursday that its response to the typhoon disaster in the Philippines had been too slow, amid reports of hunger and thirst among desperate survivors.

MANILA: The United Nations admitted Thursday that its response to the typhoon disaster in the Philippines had been too slow, amid reports of hunger and thirst among desperate survivors.
The UN's humanitarian chief, Valerie Amos said “the scale of the disaster and the logistics challenges it posed meant that six days on from the storm, some places remained without help.”
"There are still areas that we have not been able to get to where people are in desperate need," she told reporters in Manila "I very much hope that over the next 48 hours that that will change significantly."
"I do feel that we have let people down."
Criticism is growing over the pace of aid to Tacloban and other areas that were splintered by Typhoon Haiyan when it swept through the central Philippines last Friday.
Bodies still litter the streets of Tacloban, while others lie putrefying in body bags outside the broken city hall, awaiting mass burials.
Thousands of desperate survivors are clamouring to get out of a place where clean drinking water is in short supply and many have no shelter.
"The situation is dismal. Those who have been able to leave have done so. Many more are trying. People are extremely desperate for help," Amos told reporters in Manila.
"We need to get assistance to them now. They are already saying it has taken too long to arrive. Ensuring a faster delivery is our immediate priority."
However, she added: "There are thousands (of them) but we would never make the claim that we would be able to get to everyone."
Amos, who visited Tacloban on Wednesday to see the scale of the disaster, said her staff felt frustrated that supplies were stuck in the capital Manila.
The Philippines' shaky infrastructure took a battering in Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms ever to make landfall.
Many roads were left impassable, cluttered by debris from broken buildings that were destroyed when the ocean surged ashore.
The Philippines government said Wednesday that all roads were passable, but relief was still choked on Thursday, with fears over security after earlier attacks on aid convoys and widespread looting.
"Part of the job I have is to recognise the challenges we face but obviously (also) overcome those challenges and we have not been able to do that fast enough," conceded Amos.
"There are very good reasons for that but the fact that there are good reasons for that isn't enough. I think members of the government I met in the last few days feel exactly the same way."
