Joke ~ Living Will

I got this joke from this morning's sermon...

~~~
Joke ~ Living Will
A husband said to his wife, "If I'm ever in a vegetative state... please unplug all those wires from the machines that help keep me alive and don't let them feed me with those liquid stuff. I don't want to live like that. I'd rather die."
The wife was quiet for awhile, and then she smiled, and proceeded to unplug his TV, his Laptop Computer, his iPHONE, his iPAD, his Play-Station, his Wii-Game & his X-Box. She then went to the refrigerator to throw away all his Beer.
Her husband almost died.
~~~
Moral of this joke:
There's more to life than the gadgets we depend on.

Joke ~ Flatulent Problem

I got this joke from sermon this morning...

~~~
Joke ~ Lady With The Flatulent Problem
A lady visited her Smart Doctor and said, "I have a flatulent problem". (note that 'flatulent' is another word for 'fart'). "I flatulate a lot but luckily there's no sound and it does not smell. While I'm talking to you I have already flatulated about 20 times."
The Smart Doctor gave her some medication, but a week later, the lady came back and said. "I don't know what you gave me... but now... it's worst... because my flatulating is noisy and smelly."
The Smart Doctor then said, "The medication I gave was to clear your blocked-ear so you'll be able to hear... and to cure your sinus problem so that you'll be able to smell. Now we can deal with this flatulent problem".
~~~
Moral of this Joke:
Sometimes, we think we know what the problem is... but as always... we could be wrong. We should use the people around us to get a different perspective because they may be able to see things we may have missed.

Story: The Mousetrap Does NOT Concern Me

Someone sent me this via email. Story on teamwork and caring for one another.
~~~
Story: The Mousetrap Does NOT Concern Me
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
What food might this contain? The mouse wondered,
he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap!
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning :
There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, ' Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me.' ' I cannot be bothered by it.'
The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
'There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. 'Be assured you are in my prayers.'
The mouse turned to the cow and said 'There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The cow said, 'Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.'
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house --
like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup,
so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral,
the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.
Flaky Tau Sa Pia ~ Chop Mui Lee Pte Ltd ~ Sweet Bean Paste
This must be the best Flaky Tau Sa Pia I've tasted yet.
I just had this for breakfast this morning... 3 pieces. My wife bought it from the factory address listed below.
This Flaky Tau Sa Pia is small in size,
just nice for me to pop a whole piece in my mouth;
this lessens an un-avoidable mess from the flakes that fall off easily.
However, when there's time,
I'd eat it over a plate, and after having finished it,
I'd pick up each flake left behind with a moist finger
and leave a nice clean plate, ready for the next one.
BLOG Anniversary
~~~
Latest Update: Wed, 2010 Oct 13, 0626hrs

I think I've changed my mind and have desided to try and find a way to speed up this BLOG. Probably by putting less stuff like maybe using less widgets... an example is to cut the widget that does the sorting of my labels into a cloud format which was good in showing me the 'labels' that were used the most.

First Entry: Tue, 2010 Oct 12, 1000hrs

On this day & date... Monday, October 09, 2006 I made my first BLOG entry on this BLOG. Today... Tuesday, October 12, 2010, is just 4 years & 3 days after that first entry. Wow! I never thought I'd come this far. Anyway... this blog is moving quite slow from all the stuff I've been dumping here. It's about time I start another.... soon... either here or elsewhere... stay tuned-in.

His Suicide Is An Escape
The Electric New Paper, June 24, 2010
By Elysa Chen
http://tnp.sg/news/story/0,4136,245996,00.html

Chinese youth whose father murders mother and kills himself in prison says father didn't have courage to face punishment. On June 26 last year, 17-year-old Yu Wei rushed home to find the police at his door. His mother had been stabbed to death. Worse, his father was the killer. Three months later, on Sept 20, his father committed suicide in prison while awaiting trial for murder. The tragedy has left Yu Wei, who came from China with his mother to study here, an orphan. He has no relatives here. A family friend acts as his guardian and visits him once a week. The findings of a joint coroner's inquiry into his parents' deaths yesterday brought him little comfort. Yu Wei's father, Yu Qiangguo, 45, had fatally stabbed his mother, Madam Wei Hong, 41, and hanged himself in his jail cell. He was prepared to forgive his father once the man was sentenced in the High Court, but that chance never came. Still, Yu Wei decided to forgive his father when he learned of his death. He said: "He was still my father after all, and I had to bury him."

Forgiveness ~ Car Hogs The Only Shaded Pick-Up Point

I don't have the time to go through this now but I may elaborate on it at a later time.
Anyway... here's the story... the first (& maybe only) take...

~~~
What happened:
It was raining very heavily this morning. Jack and his wife Jill were going to work. They made their way to the multi-storey car-park. At one portion, the rain was beating in and was difficult to cross. Jack, made it across easily with his manly shoes. Jill, had difficulty with her office shoes so they both decided that she should wait at the "Circle" nearby. The "Circle" is the "Only Shaded Pick-up Point" in their estate that could only fit one-car-at-a-time. While waiting for Jack, Jill saw a car drive into the "Circle". The driver got out and left his car there. As Jack drove to the "Circle" he noticed that same car. Jack waited behind. Jill signalled that the driver was not in the car. Jack waited awhile and when he thought it was too long, he reversed out. Jill had to make it into the car in the rain with her small umbrella. At that point, the man came rushing back with his wife carrying a baby.
Jack & Jill's Initial Response:
Both Jack & Jill thought that the man was inconsiderate. Jack then spoke about forgiveness. But it was easier for Jack coz he wasn't the one who was wet from having to walk in the heavy rain before getting into the car.
~~~
Ok... I'm going to stop here.
This may or may not be continued...

but you're free to use this story in your discussion of forgiveness.

Hail Mary (Melody) ~ by PGA

Here's the Music Score & Midi of Hail Mary. Please don't feel obliged to use it.

I remember now why I wrote this. When I wrote this, I had meant it to be used as a prayer by those wishing to SING the Rosary, This explains why it's so short coz it was meant to sung 10x each decade. If you loop the Midi File below you may be able to understand what I'm talking about.

it's probably one of the toughest point in their training
along with the 24km Road March.

[Singing Lyrics]
Shellscrape is a hole in the ground
Just the kind for me to lie down
Dig & dig with extra dig too
Like maybe come mini swiming pool-Ah!
Aiyoh! Aiyoh! Ai-Aiyoh-Ah!
Aiyoh! Aiyoh! Ai-Aiyoh!

[Video Caption]
A shellscrape is a shallow trench made for one.
But it never feels shallow when
you're sweating buckets digging it.
