Why I Believe In God

.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is. ~ Albert Camus

'Believing' is NOT the same as 'Knowing'
• 'Knowing' → needs proof.
• 'Believing' → does not need proof.

Choice A "Yes" I Believe
If False = wasted time believing
If True = didn’t waste time believing & Heaven
Result = + + = 2 smileys

Choice B "No" I do NOT Believe
If False = didn’t waste time believing
If True = wasted time NOT believing & Hell
Result = + + = 1 smiley

The illustration above is too obvious for me.
I pick Choice A "Yes" I Believe.

Father's Day (2007 Jun 17) - Dedicated To My Dad - PGA

My Dad was a printer. The pictures above remind me of him. I've seen him at work, his printing machine was much bigger than the ones above. I used to go to his work place to play table tennis with him and his colleagues.

Father's day was just a few days ago & celebrated on every 3rd Sunday of June. I was moved to create a “card” (actually it’s more of a “page”) for my Dad who, despite my teenage rebellion, has loved me the best way that he knew how.

Dad, this is for you.

When We Prayed For ‘NO Rain’ ~ A Miracle

Whenever anyone asks me to pray that it doesn’t rain, I will always remember the day Pope John Paul II said Mass at the Singapore National Stadium.

On a Thursday of 20th November 1986, Pope John Paul II visited Singapore. A Mass was held at the National Stadium. Before the Mass started, it began to rain. When we prayed for ‘no rain’ 3 miracles happened.

• It rained harder,
• the people did NOT run away,
• and nobody I knew, got sick.

It was beautiful seeing everyone staying put. We were all very happy. I laughed till I cried, but because of the rain, nobody noticed the tears. We then sang, “There shall be showers of blessings”.

This day, I will never forget. I was 24 years old and standing next to the girl who became my wife 6 weeks later on New Year’s Day, 1st January 1987, Thursday. We were NOT wet just behind the ears; we were soaking wet.

A Catholic Horse Racing Joke

Someone sent me this Catholic Horse Racing Joke via email that I’d like to share. Good Catholics should be able to understand it. If not, you’ve got to do some research. Enjoy!

A Catholic Horse Racing Joke
(Author Unknown)

One day while he was at the track betting on the ponies and nearly losing his shirt, Mitch noticed a priest who stepped out onto the track and blessed the forehead of one of the horses lining up for the 4th race. Lo and behold, that horse - a very long shot - won the race.

Mitch was most interested to see what the priest did the next race.

Sure enough, he watched the priest step out onto the track as the horses for 5th race lined up, and place a blessing on the forehead of one of the horses.

Mitch made a beeline for the window and placed a small bet on the horse.

Again, even though it was another long shot, the horse the priest had blessed won the race.

Mitch collected his winnings and anxiously waited to see which horse the priest bestowed his blessing on for the 6th race.

As the day went on, the priest continued blessing one of the horses, and it always came in first.

Mitch began to pull in some serious money, and by the last race, he knew his wildest dreams were going to come true. He made a quick stop at the ATM, withdrew his savings and awaited the priest's blessing that would tell him which horse to bet on.

True to his pattern, the priest stepped out onto the track before the last race and blessed the forehead, eyes, ears and hooves of one of the horses.

Mitch bet every cent, and watched the horse come in dead last. Mitch was dumbfounded. He made his way to the track and when he found the priest, he demanded, "What happened, Father? All day you blessed horses and they won. The last race, you blessed a horse and he lost. Now I've lost my savings too, thanks to you!!"

The priest nodded wisely and said, “That's the problem with most Non-Catholics, they can't tell the difference between a simple blessing and the Last Rites; and I’ll bet some Catholics don’t know that either”.

Breakdancer

Breakdancer
~ PGA & EBS, 2007 Mar 23, Fri, 1336hrs

Breakdancing starts with Top Rock while moving on to Down Rock
Transiting on to Power Moves, climaxing in The Freeze
He practices precision moves with discipline & grace
He keeps the rhythm flowing with the task he has to face.

A Breakdancer learns discipline while having his fun
It’s not what he’ll get, but what he’ll become
From within he seeks to bloom, a little at a time
We’ll seek to learn from life in gloom, and know that he’ll be fine

Poetry Poem

A form of art with use of language
At times discrete with hidden message
Most times with honesty displayed
For love of words that do not fade

Little Boy Blue

Little Boy Blue come blow your horn.
The sheep in the meadow, the cow in the corn.
Where's the little boy, who look's after the sheep?
He's down in the haystack fast asleep.
~ Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme

Nursery rhymes does bring back memories.
Combined with pictures, they do tell a story.
A Story, only few can share and call their own.
This story I share with you alone.

Pigeons - Due To Over Feeding

Thu, 2007 Feb 22, 1950hrs

The sign says:
WARNING!
DUE TO OVERFEEDING
SOME PEGEONS CAN
BECOME AGGRESSIVE

I’ve got too many things that I want to do BUT so little time to accomplish them. This is one of the things on my wish list. No, not feeding the pigeons, I would actually like to be able to create animated GIF file like the one shown here. The things holding me back from learning are:

• Finding the opportunity to learn
• Finding the time to learn
• And most importantly, have too many things to do on the TO DO List.

I get angry just thinking about it. I know I should cut down the things I want to do so I could at least accomplish some of them. Even a cat knows how to focus on just one prey and not go around chasing every single one of them.

Oh well! I’ll take things as they come. This pigeon is over-fed.
